Use The Eagle’s Voter Guide to research candidates running in the 2021 election
Welcome to The Wichita Eagle’s Voter Guide for the Nov. 2 general election.
We reached out to 146 candidates in contested races for city and school board offices in Sedgwick County and asked them to complete a candidate questionnaire.
This election features competitive races for mayor in six cities: Bel Aire, Bentley, Eastborough, Haysville, Kechi and Park City. And there are contested board of education races in 12 Wichita-area school districts.
The names of candidates who have returned questionnaire responses are hyperlinked so that Eagle subscribers may access the candidates’ answers to questions about issues important to their communities.
The early voting period began Oct. 18 and ended Nov. 1.
Polling places will be open for voting on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Both machine voting and paper ballot voting options will be available. Completed mail ballots can be dropped off at ballot boxes located throughout the city, at the Election Office at 510 N. Main, or any polling location by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
To find your assigned polling location check your voter card, call the Sedgwick County Election office at 316-660-7100, or use this VoterView locator website from the Kansas secretary of state’s office.
Wichita Transit will be offering free bus rides to residents on Eletion Day on all routes. Route and schedule information can be found at wichitatransit.org.
