Pedestrian, 70, hospitalized after being hit by vehicle in east Wichita
Wichita police say a 70-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening in east Wichita.
The man was crossing the intersection at Hillside and Gilbert, near Kellogg, when he was hit around 7:30 p.m., police said. The vehicle was headed north on Hillside.
“The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is under investigation for suspicion of DUI (driving under the influence),” police said on Facebook.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
