Police have identified the pedestrian killed Saturday in a crash in north Wichita as 63-year-old Lawrence Glover.

Wichita police have said Glover was using a wheelchair in the 2700 block of North Amidon when he was hit by a vehicle around 1:16 p.m. He died at the hospital.

The person driving the vehicle was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter and felony driving under the influence after “it was determined he was impaired,” Wichita police said. The 36-year-old Wichita man remained in jail on Monday in lieu of $500,000 bond, online jail booking records show.

The Eagle does not identify crime suspects by name unless they are formally charged in court.

“This is still an ongoing investigation,” police said Monday.

Glover was a Wichita resident, according to police.
