Wichita police have made an arrest in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a 38-year-old pedestrian near Maple and West Street last week.

A 25-year-old woman was taken into custody on Tuesday and will be booked into the Sedgwick County Jail in connection with the death of Kristina Kramer of Wichita, police said in a news release.

“The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for formal charging consideration,” the release says.

The Eagle does not name crime suspects unless they are formally charged in court.

Wichita police said previously that Kramer was hit by a vehicle described as a white SUV shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 3400 block of West Taft. She died at the hospital.

A GoFundMe fundraiser collecting donations to help cover her funeral and cremation costs had raised around $1,100 by Tuesday afternoon. The fundraiser describes her as a mother of four, daughter, sister and aunt who “brought light and laughter into the lives of those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.”
