Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash near Maple and West Street last week as 38-year-old Kristina Kramer of Wichita.

The crash was reported shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 3400 block of West Taft. Kramer died after she was taken to a Wichita hospital.

The vehicle that hit her fled and was “still outstanding” on Monday, Wichita police said. It has been described as a white SUV that may have front-end damage.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact our Investigators at 316-350-3672 or if you wish to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111,” police said.

A GoFundMe collecting donations to help cover Kramer’s burial or cremation costs says her family and friends are heartbroken and “struggling to come to terms with this unimaginable loss.”

“Kristina was a beautiful soul whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met,” the fundraiser says. “She brought light and laughter into the lives of those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.”
