Law firm to open new office as it transforms Greg Brady-style new headquarters, too
As other law firms have left the south side of Wichita, Patterson Legal Group saw an opportunity.
“We just kind of saw the need for legal services in south Wichita,” Tyler Patterson said.
The firm is opening a new office at 47th South and Broadway in the same center as Dunkin’.
“That area is . . . blowing up,” Patterson said. “Really, it’s one of the best parts of the city with new development, so we’re excited to be able to move there.”
The firm also opened a new office last year near Central and Hillside. Late this year, it’s moving its headquarters from the Farm Credit Bank Building at 245 N. Waco to a 5,000-square-foot building it purchased at 6800 W. Kellogg, near Ridge Road, where Larry Steckline used to have radio stations.
Patterson said the 1970s-style building is undergoing significant renovations inside and out, including a new roofline.
“It looked like something Greg Brady would have designed from the ‘Brady Bunch,’ ” Patterson said, laughing.
Patterson Legal Group is an injury law firm, and Patterson said the idea of more offices is all about making it easier for clients to meet.
“That’s kind of the whole idea with opening . . . offices around town is the accessibility factor.”
Krista Racine of J.P. Weigand & Sons handled the south-side deal and the sale of the west-side building. She’ll also be helping the firm find its next office.
Patterson said that most likely will be in the next year, “perhaps somewhere north or east so that we have a reach across the entire city.”
