Another busy Wichita intersection is getting a 7 Brew drive-through coffee shop, and when it opens later this year or in early 2027, it will be the Wichita area’s eighth 7 Brew location.

Conner Johnson, the managing partner for a local 7 Brew franchise, said he’s finished up a deal to put a shop at 1910 W. 21st St. The property is just in front of the Dillons at 21st and Amidon.

Between now and the opening of the 21st & Amidon 7 Brew, Johnson will open two other shops that he previously announced. The one going on the site at 3505 N. Rock Road, where IHOP once stood, should be ready in May, he said, and the one he’s planning at 10221 W. 21st St., where the west-side Jacob Liquor stands now, should be ready by September.

The 7 Brew chain entered the Wichita market in 2022, when Johnson opened his first local shop at 3031 E. Central. He next added shops at 110 N. Rock Road and 11465 E. 21st St., then in September 2024, he opened one in front of the Lowe’s at Maple and Ridge.

In February, he opened a 7 Brew at 2200 N. Rock Road in Derby. He’s also planning shops in Manhattan and Junction City.

Arkansas-based 7 Brew is a drive-through-only coffee chain whose stores operate out of pre-fab buildings that are dropped, intact, onto the ground. Its menu includes coffee beverages, infused energy drinks, Italian sodas, smoothies and teas. It focuses on fast service and is known for its short wait times.

The owners of Jacob Liquor have not yet said what their plans are for the store at 21st and Maize, which has been open since 1997, but the building it occupies will be demolished to make way for the new 7 Brew.
