Yet another drive-through coffee chain is headed to the Wichita area
The drive-through coffee scene in the Wichita area just keeps expanding.
Not only is Scooter’s adding stores locally, but at least two Dutch Bros. drive-through shops will open by year’s end. Dunkin’ keeps adding stores, too, including a drive-through-only location that’s taking shape near Central and Hillside.
Now, another drive-through coffee purveyor is coming on the scene.
Ziggi’s Coffee, a growing coffee chain that started in Colorado in 2004 and now has 49 locations nationwide, is adding a store in Maize that will open either later this year or in early 2023. It’ll be a new build at 4575 N. Maize Road, which is on the southwest corner of 45th North and Maize Road.
The store’s franchisees are Maize residents Chris Morici and Audrey Krueger. For now, this is the only Wichita-area Ziggi’s that’s planned.
The closest Ziggi’s to Wichita is in Tulsa.
The Maize Ziggi’s won’t have indoor seating but it will have a drive-through as well as a walk-up window and patio seating. In addition to coffee drinks, Ziggi’s serves Red Bull-infused frozen and iced beverages, Italian sodas, fruit smoothies and breakfast burritos as well as food items like scones, breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon rolls and more.
One of Ziggi’s specialties is a spicy mocha drink, served iced, hot or blended. It also has a dedicated kid’s drink menu that lists frozen beverages with names like Cotton Candy Blender, Unicorn Punch and Frozen Campfire Cocoa.
