Kansas troopers investigate deadly vehicle versus pedestrian crash Manhattan
Update, 2 p.m. Tuesday:
The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified a Manhattan man who died in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash last week.
Troopers wrote in a crash report that 61-year-old Francisco J. Nevarrez-Arrellano was pronounced dead at the scene of a wreck on Fort Riley Boulevard at 15th Street. The report indicates that law enforcement officers were not able to find family members to notify of his death.
A 22-year-old woman from Junction City had no apparent injury after the 2015 Honda Civic she was driving hit the pedestrian, who had entered into the roadway.

State troopers are investigating a fatal crash that happened Wednesday night in Manhattan.
Emergency crews were called at around 9:20 p.m. to an injury accident on K-18 at South 15th Street, the Kansas Highway Patrol said in a crash report. Investigators determined a vehicle was westbound on the highway, which is also known as Fort Riley Boulevard, when it struck a pedestrian that had entered into the roadway.
