Schools in Andover, Renwick, Goddard and Wichita school districts made it onto one website’s list of 10 best public elementary schools in the Wichita area.

The well-known ranking website Niche releases its rankings every year based on a number of factors including academics, teachers, diversity, culture and school districts. The company also gathers information through student and teacher surveys.

As well as middle, elementary and high schools, the company also ranks area school districts every year. Niche named the Andover School District as the best in the Wichita area this year, followed by Renwick, Maize, Valley Center and Goddard.

Here’s what to know about the company’s picks for best Wichita-area public elementary schools for 2025.

  • Overall Niche grade: A
  • Student to teacher ratio: 14 to 1
  • Proficiency: 65% of students show proficiency in reading and 75% show proficiency in math.

No. 3: Robert M. Martin Elementary School

Andover Public Schools

  • Overall Niche grade: A
  • Student to teacher ratio: 17 to 1
  • Proficiency: 63% of students show proficiency in reading and 63% show proficiency in math.

No. 4: Prairie Creek Elementary School
