Teens injured in shooting at east Wichita apartment complex

Wichita police are investigating after two teenage boys were injured in a shooting at an east Wichita apartment complex on Monday morning.

The shooting happened just after midnight on Dec. 29 at The Landing at Woodlawn Tower, which is near the intersection of 21st and Woodlawn in northeast Wichita. According to Wichita Police Department public information officer Brad Wright, police found two teenagers — a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy — with non-life-threatening injuries inside an apartment. Both boys were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Wright also said a 20-year-old man at the scene was not injured. The department is still investigating the shooting.
