Shots fired during vehicle chase that ended in crash in Sedgwick County, dispatch says

Authorities are on scene of a vehicle chase that ended in a rollover crash Monday afternoon in Sedgwick County, a Sedgwick County Emergency Communications supervisor said.

The chase was reported around 3:06 p.m. and ended near the intersection of 119th St. W and 111th St. S southeast of Clearwater, Kansas.

The agencies involved in the chase were the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the Clearwater Police Department, according to the supervisor.

During the chase, shots were fired, the supervisor said. It is unknown who fired them or if anyone was struck.

Two people who were injured in the crash received minor injuries and refused treatment by EMS. The sheriff’s office and Clearwater police remain on the scene of the crash.
