Kansas husband found guilty of murder in death of his wife, who was also a mom
A northwest Kansas man has been convicted of murder in the death of his wife.
Alifonso Eduardo Garcia, 37, of Plainville, was found guilty on Wednesday by a Rooks County jury of first-degree premeditated murder in the March 19, 2018, death of Alexis Diane Garcia, Attorney General Derek Schmidt said in a news release.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 17.

Sheriff’s office records show Garcia has been held in the Rooks County jail in lieu of a $1 million bond since his March 23, 2018, arrest by Plainville police.
