A man died Friday morning near Halstead after his vehicle left the road, rolled and ejected him.

The man died at the scene, Harvey County public information officer Kyle McCaskey said in a news release. His name and other identifying information was not immediately released because his family had not yet been notified, McCaskey said.

McCaskey said a preliminary investigation shows the man was driving east in the 10900 block of Southwest 24th Street, near K-89 Highway, before the crash happened. He was alone in the vehicle. No other cars were involved.

Emergency crews were sent to the area after receiving a crash notification at 9:09 a.m. on Friday, according to the release.

“The accident remains under investigation by the Harvey County Sheriff’s Office,” McCaskey said.
