A 64-year-old El Dorado man died Saturday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with an SUV in east Wichita.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said Timothy Verbeck was eastbound on K-254 at around 3:23 p.m. when a 78-year-old Wichita woman driving a Ford Expedition “failed to yield the right of way.” The Expedition was northbound on Greenwich at the time.

Verbeck struck the SUV with the Harley-Davidson Tri Glide motorcycle, the highway patrol said in a crash report. He suffered fatal injuries.

The 78-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with possible minor injuries, the highway patrol said.
