Former Shocker Ron Baker to sign autographs at Academy Sports

Former Wichita State basketball player and New York Knicks guard Ron Baker will be signing autographs from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at the west Wichita Academy Sports and Outdoors.

Fans can meet Baker and receive an autograph for free, according to a news release. Academy Sports is located at 2710 N. Maize Road. Photographs will be permitted during the session.

Another Baker autograph session, this one at the Wichita State bookstore, was rescheduled to Friday night from 5 to 7 p.m. The session was originally to take place on Thursday, but was canceled due to stormy weather.

Baker helped lead the Wichita State men’s basketball team to three conference titles and an NCAA Final Four appearance in 2013. He signed with the Knicks after not being picked in the NBA draft last summer and appeared in 52 games during the 2016-17 season.
