Yes, a restaurant is going up on this new construction site in far west Wichita
The latest construction site that has locals wondering what is about to appear sits at 13333 W. Maple, in front of the Dillons and just west of the Scooter’s at 135th and Maple. As soon as the building’s steel structure began to appear, people started to message me with questions.
I actually already reported on this one back in January, but the answer appeared at the bottom of my story listing restaurants Wichita could expect to open in 2026. This particular construction site will, later this year, become home to Wichita’s newest Chipotle restaurant.
A manager with the chain said back in January that the restaurant likely wouldn’t be ready to open until late 2026, and contacted this week, he said that’s still the timeline. The Chipotle will be the ninth in the Wichita city limits. The last time a new one opened in Wichita was in December 2021 at 2349 S. Seneca
The build-your-own burrito chain also has a restaurant in Derby, and in December, it added one in Andover.
