Wichita’s first west-side 7 Brew is open.

The drive-through coffee kiosk is at 325 S. Ridge Road, which is in the northeast corner of the Lowe’s at Maple and Ridge, officially opens to the public on Monday, Sept. 23.

Operating partner Conner Johnson invited anyone to attend his “friends-and-family” soft-opening period this past weekend, offering free small drinks. A soft opening is a kind of practice run for new employees to practice their jobs.

Monday through Friday, Sept. 27, people can still get free small drinks during certain hours: 7 to 8 a.m., noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.

The shop’s grand opening celebration — which the chain calls “Swag Day” — happens on Saturday, Sept. 28. That day, anyone who orders a large drink gets a free 7 Brew T-shirt.

Wichita’s first 7 Brew coffee drive-through opened in September 2022 at 3031 E. Central. After that, two more east-side 7 Brews opened — one at 110 N. Rock Road and another at 11465 E . 21st St.

Though 7 Brew stores typically go up pretty quickly — they operate out of little prefab buildings that are dropped onto chosen sites — this one took a little longer. The franchisees had to work with Lowe’s, whose property the building sits on, to get the proper sewer lines installed.

“We’re excited to be here,” Johnson said. “We thought we’d be in west Wichita first.”

The hours for the Maple and Ridge 7 Brew are 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
