It looks like Crumbl Cookies has found its west Wichita location

Fans of Crumbl Cookies — and there are many devoted fans in Wichita, Derby and beyond — have long wondered when the west side of town would get a store.

For now, cookie fanatics must travel all the way to 2564 N. Greenwich, where the area’s first Crumble opened in 2019, or to Derby, where the second opened in November 2020 at 1918 N. Rock Road.

Now, it appears as if the local franchisee has chosen a spot. A demolition permit was pulled with the Wichita/Sedgwick County Metropolitan Building and Construction Department last week on the space at 2755 N. Maize Road where Freezing Moo just closed.

A spokesperson for Crumbl Cookies said that the west store was “still in the early stages.” Franchisee Steve Wallace confirmed he was opening a store in NewMarket Square but said it was too soon to predict when the shop might be open.

Crumbl is a Utah-based cookie chain that has a nationwide cult following. The chain introduces several new flavors of its extra big, extra frosted and extra decadent cookies every week, and devotees scramble to try the new flavors.
