In our latest episode of name-that-future-restaurant, we visit a construction site at the northwest corner of 13th and Oliver.

A restaurant-shaped building is quickly going up, and several readers have e-mailed to ask me what it will be.

Chicken fans will be happy to hear that it will be a Church's Chicken, and local entrepreneur Mike Jizzini hopes to have it open by August. He plans to follow it with a restaurant at Broadway and Pawnee next year. Eventually, he hopes to open six Church's in town.

You might remember that all of Wichita's Church's locations suddenly closed in late 2015, and many sad shells of those former restaurants still sit shuttered all over town. Jizzini, an engineer who wants to get into the restaurant business, wanted to bring the chain back, but he decided to find new spots and build all-new restaurants.

I'll let you know when the 13th and Oliver Church's is ready. In the meantime, you should have no trouble finding new chicken restaurants to try in Wichita.
