Several Wichita restaurants are on vacation for July 4 and beyond

If you're planning to spend any of your July 4 break dining at a favorite Wichita restaurant, you'd better check this list first.

A lengthy list of local eatery owners are taking a vacation and temporarily closing their restaurants. Some will be closed a few days. Some will be closed all week.

Tip: Before heading out to eat on Wednesday (July 4), make sure to call ahead. Many restaurants are closing for the day, though many also are staying open.

Here's who's planning to take an extended break.

Doo-Dah Diner, 206 E. Kellogg: Closed through Wednesday

Molino's, 1064 N. Waco: Closed through Sunday

Sapporo, 8065 E. Peachtree Lane: Closed through Thursday

Kanai, 12111 W. Maple: Closed Tuesday through Thursday

Bite Me BBQ, 132 N. St. Francis: Closed through Wednesday

The Kitchen, 725 E. Douglas: Closed through Wednesday

Pho Special, 2409 E. Pawnee: Closed through Monday

Ty's Diner, 928 W. Second: Closed through July 16

Felipe's, 2241 N. Woodlawn: Closed Tuesday through July 11

DeFazio's, 2706 N. Amidon: Closed through July 10

Candle Club, 6135 E. 13th: Closed through Thursday

Cheri's Bakery, 2121 N. Tyler: Closed through Saturday

Mr. Bud's Brothers, 3404 N. Arkansas: Closed through Monday

Kimchi, 2929 N. Rock Road: Closed through July 10.
