In the Kansas Legislature, bills that do not identify a sponsor or a source should not even be considered in a committee or by the full House or Senate.


USD 259 giving a huge 6.05-percent raise to the school superintendent after five months on the job because the teachers received a much overdue increase is just wrong.


The Board of Education paying that kind of money to the superintendent is ludicrous. No wonder property taxes are outrageous.


If a tsetse fly made it from Russia to be smashed on the windshield of Trump’s car, the investigative committee would be saying, “Aha, Russian collusion, Russian collusion.”


Trump’s big middle-class tax cut will give the average family making less than $75,000 a whole $1,000 a year, about $80 a month after tax. If you make a million, you will get $100,000. Just how dumb are you people?


Whoever keeps complaining about Judge Parker in the comics needs to stop. There are those of us loyal readers who have followed it in the Eagle’s comics for well over 40 years. Don’t like it? Don’t read it.


To those whining about the cameras in Old Town, obey the laws and you won’t have to worry about it. I wish they had cameras at every intersection. Thank you, police, for making Wichita safer.


It’s as if Roy Moore was caught pulling his 100th bank job, and Roy believes the cops won’t find out about the first 99.


Why do people keep talking about Tyson coming to Wichita? It’s coming to Haysville, Clearwater, Peck and other small communities in southern Kansas. It’s our schools, roads and noses that will be affected. If Wichita wants Tyson, put it in Wichita.


For 22 years, my students and I have played the “Would You Rather?” Thanksgiving edition this time of year. For the first time, my students picked leading the Thanksgiving Day parade over eating with the president. It was unanimous. Ouch.


Why is Wonder Woman scantily clad and Batman is all covered up?
