The city of Wichita is conducting an online auction of its surplus vehicles and equipment.
Details and photos about the 143 items to be sold can be found at purplewave.com. The auction closes at 10 a.m. Sept. 26.
Trucks from the Wichita Fire Department and police cars are among the vehicles listed. City departments that have items in the auction: Parks and Recreation, Wichita Airport Authority, Central Maintenance, Water Utilities and Transit.
Other items in the auction include: a stump grinder, a pressure washer, a jack hammer, a shoe shine station, tires, vacuums, airline signage, Christmas decorations, concierge jackets, restroom supplies, DVRs and office furniture.
Inspection times for some of the items are from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 20, and 12 to 4 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Central Maintenance facility at 1801 S. McLean Blvd. Some departments ask that inspection times be scheduled by appointment. More info can be found at purplewave.com.
