Ranchers found a bald eagle covered with ice in a pasture when they called for help
A bald eagle was struggling to fly over a pasture on the Osage and Kay county line when ranchers in Oklahoma spotted the eagle covered with ice.
The ranchers contacted Oklahoma Game Wardens, and Spencer Grace showed up to help the eagle, according to a Facebook post.
The warden noticed the eagle’s wings were covered in ice from an ice storm that had just ended.
With the eagle only able to fly short distances, Grace caught up to and captured the bird, as seen in a video posted to Facebook.
Grace then caged the bird and warmed him up in his truck.
After about 45 minutes, the game warden released the bald eagle and watched him fly to his usual perch above the pasture. The ranchers told Grace that they see the eagle on that perch on a daily basis.
