It’s that time again: Online enrollment opens for Wichita schools

Parents with children returning to the Wichita school district can go online to complete enrollment forms, see class schedules, pay enrollment fees and get bus stop information.

Parents need a ParentVUE account to access the online enrollment forms. The site — https://parentvue.usd259.net — became operational Wednesday, district officials said.

Students who are eligible for transportation will receive bus stop information during online enrollment. Parents will be required to check whether their child will ride the bus during the school year.

Parents new to the district or those who don’t have a ParentVUE account can go to www.usd259.org/enroll to print out and complete common enrollment forms and return them to their child’s school during in-person enrollment in August.

Spanish-speaking parents can click on the “Espanol” button in the lower left of the screen on the ParentVUE website to see Spanish versions of all the forms.

In-person enrollment is Aug. 7-9, noon to 7 p.m. Schools will have computers and assistance available for parents to access their ParentVUE account or to create one.

Parents and students will receive school-specific information at in-person enrollment, including school supply lists, plus take photos for student IDs.

The first day of school for all Wichita students is Aug. 23, with a half-day of orientation for sixth- and ninth-grade students on Aug. 22.

All enrollment information is available at www.usd259.org/enroll.
