Police seek tips in July 14 Oaklawn shooting
The crime
Shortly before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, Sheriff’s deputies were called to a shooting in the 4600 block of South Brookhaven in Oaklawn. The victim, 23-year-old Welly Syakhasone, was taken to a hospital where he later died. Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for your help. They are looking for up to three suspects seen leaving the area between 6:15 and 6:25 that morning in a dark-colored SUV.
