Update: Wichita police identify man killed in city's 11th homicide of the year
The 36-year-old man who was killed in a shooting Friday night at Sugar Creek Apartments has been identified, Wichita police said.
Darren Williams, 36, of Wichita, went to the apartments, in the 2500 block of South Oliver, with his girlfriend, 35, to meet another man just before midnight, Officer Charley Davidson said. He identified Williams on Monday.
A fight ensued between the two men and Williams was shot multiple times, Davidson said. He died at the complex.

This is the 11th homicide in the city this year. No arrests have been made.
