An attempted robbery outside QuikTrip in the afternoon

Wichita police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a 63-year-old outside of QuikTrip in the 600 block of South Hillside at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The 63-year-old man told police he was approached by a man while walking back to his vehicle. That person pulled out a handgun and demanded money, Officer Charley Davidson said.

The 63-year-old ran away and the man left in a black Chevy Spark, which was occupied by three other people, Davidson said.

There was no loss or injuries reported, Davidson said.
