Mulvane police are looking for whomever took items ranging from electronic devices to cash from about 40 unlocked vehicles overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Sgt. Mike Friday said the vehicles were parked at residences in the area of the Country Walk Apartments and Townhomes on the city’s north side. Two cars were also stolen, though Friday said the vehicles had since been recovered.

Along with cash, items stolen, Friday said, included an iPad, laptop computer, loose change, mobile phone chargers and sunglasses. Friday said the department was busy Sunday with all the paperwork from the many theft reports.

“Lock your doors,” Friday advised residents. “These were crimes of opportunity. We don’t have any suspects, but we have a few more witnesses to speak with, and we’re working to get some surveillance footage.”

Friday asked that anyone with information about the crimes contact the Mulvane Police Department at 316-777-4462.
