Though shooting reported, no victim found

Wichita police investigating the report of a shooting on Tuesday afternoon could not find a victim, authorities said.

A man called 911 shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and said, “I’ve been shot,” according to Sedgwick County emergency communications radio traffic. The shooting was reported to have occurred at an apartment complex at 333 W. 21st St., but officers were unable to find a victim.
