Two hurt in crash on I-135 near Harry

Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle crash on I-135 that congested traffic on the busy freeway Tuesday morning, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said.

The crash occurred at 10:39 a.m. just south of Harry in the southbound lanes of I-135, authorities said. Two men were taken to the hospital with injuries. One of the men had potentially critical injuries while the second man’s injuries were less serious.

Kansas Highway Patrol trooper Chad Crittenden told media at the scene that a black Cadillac was driving south in the center lane when it drifted left for unknown reasons. It then made a sharp right turn, he said, and left the interstate on the west side, slamming into a pillar supporting the pedestrian bridge over I-135.
