Finally — weekend weather worthy of summer, and on Sunday summer will officially arrive. That means this weekend’s days are the longest of the year. And Sunday is Father’s Day. Here are some things going on in the Wichita area on Saturday and Sunday — several of them outdoors — to celebrate all of it.

Kansas Pond Society Pond Tour, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Botanica and water gardens in Wichita, Maize, Derby and Mulvane; $10 per car; ticket/maps available at Botanica, Wichita garden centers, Atwoods in Andover, and Easton Sod Farm and Tails & Scales in Derby.
