17 people displaced after overnight apartment fire near downtown Wichita
Seventeen people were displaced after an apartment fire early Sunday morning near downtown Wichita, officials said.
The fire was reported at the Emerald Lane Studio Apartments, 815 S. Emporia, just before 2 a.m. Sunday.
Wichita Fire Marshal Stuart Bevis said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The fire caused $90,000 in structural damage and $30,000 in content damage. No injuries were reported.
