Two Kansas men killed in plane crash
Two Scott City men were killed Thursday night when they plane crashed in Grant County.
Daniel Dunn, 68, and Michael Steele, 64, took off in a 1970 Beech aircraft from Ulysses heading for Scott City, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
At some point, the men tried to make it back to Ulysses, but the plane crashed just after 9 p.m. It landed near Kansas 25 and 7 Road. Investigators aren’t sure if the plane had a mechanical issue.
Both men died at the scene.
