A Wichita man who lived in base housing at McConnell Air Force Base has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after he admitted to sexually abusing two teenage girls.

Random Shane Smith, 38, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual abuse, according to a release from U.S. Attorney Tom Beall. Smith admitted to using force to make two 16-year-old girls have sex with him.

The assaults occurred in base housing, the release stated. He was charged in 2016.
