Explosion heard outside barber shop late Wednesday
Wichita police are looking for two men who reportedly set off an explosive device outside a barber shop late Wednesday.
Officer Charley Davidson said police and the Wichita Fire Department were sent to Slice City, 2425 W. McCormick, at around 11:30 p.m.
Witnesses told police they saw two men walk up to the business and leave before hearing a loud explosion, Davidson said.
It’s unknown if the men got inside the business, which was closed at the time. Damage to the outside of the building was reported, though the extent was unknown Thursday morning.
Davidson declined to comment on the type of explosive device that was found.
