Train hits car in Derby, driver survives
One person was hurt when a train struck a car in Derby Thursday night, authorities said.
The collision happened at 7:37 p.m. at K-15 and 63rd Street South, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatch supervisor said. The victim escaped critical injuries, the supervisor said.
The vehicle was pushed halfway between 63rd and 71st Street South, first responders reported. No streets are blocked in the area as a result of the collision, however.
