LemonShark Poke may join Taco John’s and IHOP in Derby

For longtime fans, Taco John’s can’t open soon enough in Derby.

As Have You Heard? reported in December, restaurateur Mohamad Touffaha is building a new strip center within the Derby Marketplace that will have a 2,500-square-foot Taco John’s on one end and a 5,000-square-foot IHOP on the other.

The building, which is between Buffalo Wild Wings and Discount Tire, has 1,300 square feet left between IHOP and Taco John’s.

“We are working on a new concept,” Touffaha says.

He and a partner are in negotiations to bring a LemonShark Poke restaurant there.

Touffaha says the IHOP will be ready in mid-November, and Taco John’s should be ready in early January.

If the Lemonshark deal happens, he says, “It’s going to be around the same time.”
