Triumph to move KC operations from Missouri to Kansas
Aircraft supplier Triumph Group will relocate its Kansas City-area plant from Missouri to Kansas, the company said Monday.
The company plans to move to a 156,000-square-foot, “purpose-built” building in the Logistics Park Kansas City in Edgerton next year.
Triumph’s plant is currently located in Grandview, Mo.
“The LPKC development was chosen due to strong support from the state of Kansas and the local community in Edgerton, close proximity to an established training facility, exceptional logistics, and readily available space for future expansion,” said Rick Rosenjack, executive vice president of Triumph’s Precision Components business unit, in a news release.
Construction of the Edgerton facility is expected to begin in September, with completion expected in June 2017.
Pennsylvania-based Triumph also operates a precision components facility in Wichita that employs 175 people as well as a product support operation in Wellington, where 115 people work.
