Five Star Call Centers expands into Wichita

After looking at 50 cities across the Midwest, Five Star Call Centers has chosen Wichita for its newest location.

The Sioux Falls company, which already has call centers in North Dakota and South Dakota, chose Wichita for its fourth call center expansion because of the available workforce and real estate that allows for the opportunity of expansion, according to a statement announcing the firm’s decision.

The company will begin operations this summer in a 10,000-square-foot space in the Ruffin Building at 9100 E. Douglas. Five Star Call Centers will initially employ 150 people, though that number could reach 300 over the next several months.

The recruitment process will begin on July 10, with the first training class on July 31. The first calls into the Wichita center will begin on Aug. 7.
