It’s Macey versus Lin-Manuel Miranda on ‘Ellen’
Kansas’ favorite presidential expert Macey Hensley appeared Friday on the “Ellen DeGeneres” show, matching her know-how with Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of the Broadway musical, “Hamilton.”

DeGeneres tested their knowledge of historical trivia, peppering them with questions about Alexander Hamilton, past presidents and founding fathers. Money raised in the skit would go toward a relief fund for Puerto Rico.
Miranda correctly answered a question about what newspaper Hamilton founded, the New York Post.
Dressed in a colonial-era costume, the 7-year-old from Council Grove breezed through several questions: what dessert did Thomas Jefferson introduce (ice cream); who invented the rocking chair (Benjamin Franklin); and what was George Washington’s favorite breakfast (pancakes).
Both failed though, when DeGeneres asked them the name of Taylor Swift’s new album: “Reputation.”
In the end, $20,000 was raised for charity, and Macey was surprised with matinee tickets to “Hamilton.” She fell asleep the first time she saw the show.
Macey has appeared on the popular TV show numerous times. She first wowed DeGeneres two years ago with her knowledge of U.S. presidents. Since then, she has met country stars Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney, former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, and former President Obama.
The popular TV show has sent her on taped field trips to the White House, Disney World, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Mount Rushmore and even on a Carnival cruise. This summer, she went on a road trip in an RV, going to Boston and Nashville.
Macey was also featured in an ad campaign last year from the Kansas Travel and Tourism. Macey visited the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Exploration Place in Wichita and the state Capitol in Topeka.
