Riverfest reminder: Reel Big Fish plays Thursday; Elle King performs Friday
If you’re planning to go to the Riverfest tonight to see Elle King in concert, hold up. King and Reel Big Fish swapped nights at the fest after the festival guide was printed.
So, a reminder: Caribbean-inspired ska band Reel Big Fish plays at 9 p.m. Thursday, and pop-star Elle King will perform at 9 p.m. Friday, both at Kennedy Plaza in Wichita.
The opening acts, however, are not switching. Soul act The Suffers will open for Reel Big Fish at 7:15 p.m., and rock band Fishbone will open at the same time Friday for King, whose most recent hit is “Ex’s and Oh’s.”
King asked to switch nights when a conflict from another concert came up. Reel Big Fish had no problem swapping nights, fest organizers said.
Admission to the concerts is included with a $10 Riverfest button. The festival runs through Saturday.
