New Kansas high school sports classifications are out. Is your school on the move?

Some Kansas high schools are changing sports classifications.

On Friday, based on changes in enrollment, the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) released new general classes for all prep sports besides football.

Wichita Northwest, Mill Valley and Piper are among the schools on the move.

Here are the changes ...

New to Class 6A

Wichita Northwest (from 5A)

Number of 6A schools: 36

6A enrollment range: 1,361-2,397

Class 5A

Kansas City Piper (4A)

Mill Valley (6A)

Number of 5A schools: 36

5A enrollment range: 733-1,306

Class 4A

Concordia (3A)

McPherson (5A)

Number of 4A schools: 36

4A enrollment range: 314-707

Class 3A

Ellsworth (2A)

Girard (4A)

Oskaloosa (2A)

Rossville (2A)

Number of 3A schools: 64

3A enrollment range: 173-309

Class 2A

Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy (3A)
