KC Chiefs at Denver Broncos: Here’s who’s playing (and who isn’t) at Mile High Saturday

The Chiefs officially have a big piece of their offensive line available for action Saturday against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.

Left tackle Orlando Brown Jr., who didn’t play last week in Cincinnati because of a calf injury, is dressed and expected to resume his starting role.

Joe Thuney, who had to fill in at left tackle last weekend because of injuries to Brown and rookie Lucas Niang, should return to his usual spot at left guard.

Kansas City on Friday placed Niang on injured reserve after he suffered a season-ending patellar tendon knee injury in Week 17 against the Bengals. The Chiefs have depth on their offensive line, though, as guard/tackle Kyle Long is dressed for the first time since coming off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list in late November.

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder), who was ruled out on Thursday’s injury report, tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, cornerback Deandre Baker and rookie quarterback Shane Buechele are designated as inactive.

With Edwards-Helaire out, the Chiefs are expected to rely on Darrel Williams to lead the backfield. Williams, who is 37 yards shy of recording his first career total of 1,000 from scrimmage in a season, will receive support from fellow backup running backs Derrick Gore and Jerick McKinnon.

For the Broncos, wide receiver Diontae Spencer, linebacker Kenny Young, tackle Bobby Massie, linebacker Andre Mintze, defensive tackle Justin Hamilton and defensive lineman McTelvin Agim are inactive.
