Kansas State QB Avery Johnson adds to his NIL profile with new endorsement deals
Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson hasn’t played in a football game since December, and he won’t throw his next pass for the Wildcats until August.
Still, he is doing plenty to keep himself busy while he is away from the football field during the offseason.
He is quickly becoming the face of both K-State football and a few local businesses. Johnson announced two new endorsement deals this week, which means his already impressive collection of NIL deals keeps getting bigger.
The junior passer who grew up in Wichita already boasted a famous NIL deal with Long McArthur. This Salina car dealership allowed him to drive around Manhattan in a lavender Corvette Stingray and then a black Mercedes AMG GT. K-State fans have also been able to buy his personalized strawberry lemonade drink at grocery stores across the region.
Now he is also endorsing CVS Pharmacy as the perfect place to purchase sunscreen before a day on the lake (via Instagram) and WTC Fiber, a telecommunications service provider in Wamego, as the ideal option for fast Internet (via X).
Add those onto a NIL deal with Booth Creek Wagyu and a potential new collaboration with Godox Global photo equipment, which he also teased this week, and Johnson has one of the biggest collections of NIL deals in the Big 12, if not all of college football.
His likeness can be found in many places across Manhattan, much like Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City.
If that weren’t enough, Johnson will also host a youth football camp at K-State later this month.
Johnson is the most recognizable member of the Kansas State football team heading into the 2025 season. Last year, he threw for 2,712 yards and 25 touchdowns to go along with 605 yards and seven touchdowns as a rusher. The Wildcats won nine games and beat Rutgers at the Rate Bowl.
