Woman, 28, found murdered in Kansas field, authorities say
Kansas authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found in a southeast Kansas field on Sunday.
At about 2:30 p.m., a man called 911 after discovering the body in rural Labette County. The woman was identified as 28-year-old Kylie Caldwell of Parsons, according to a news release from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
KBI agents and a crime scene response team found evidence at the scene that Caldwell had been murdered, the release said.
It is unknown how Caldwell was murdered. She had last been seen early Sunday morning, the KBI said.
The Labette County Sheriff’s Office, Parsons Police Department and the KBI are investigating the homicide.
