Kansas man dies after pickup truck leaves road, strikes several trees and goes airborne

A Kansas man has died in an accident in Barton County.

He was identified as 76-year-old Richard Reichuber of Hoisington, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show.

The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near Great Bend at NW 10th Road and NW 100 Avenue in Barton County. Reichuber was eastbound in the 100 block of NW 100 Road in a 2008 Toyota Tacoma when his vehicle left the road and entered a ditch on the right, the report said.

The Tacoma struck several trees, went airborne over a dry creek bed and came to rest on all four wheels. Reichuber was pronounced dead at the scene, the crash log said.
