A Kansas man died in a head-on collision in Dickinson County early Tuesday morning.

He was identified as 43-year-old Eric Skilling of Abilene, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show.

The crash was reported around 5:50 a.m. along K-15 at mile marker 155. Skilling was heading north on K-15 in a 2005 Ford F-150, the report said.

Another driver was southbound on K-15 in a semi truck when Skilling crossed the center line “at a slight bend in the roadway,” the crash log said.

The Ford pickup truck and semi collided head on in the southbound lane. Skilling died at the scene of the crash, the report said.

The semi driver was taken to Abilene Memorial Health but had no apparent injuries, the log said.
