Woman dies in rollover crash of off-road vehicle in Kansas

A 30-year-old Texas woman has died in an accident involving an off-road vehicle in Lyon County early Monday.

The rollover crash was reported around 5:54 a.m. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and Lyon County EMS arrived in the 400 block of Road V and found a red Polaris Razer on its passenger side, partly on the road and partly in the west ditch, Lyon County deputy Jody Meyers said in a news release.

Chelsea Moore, 30, of Hunt, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another occupant in the Razer, 31-year-old Ian Ellender of Hartford, Kansas, was taken to Newman Regional Hospital with serious injuries, the release said.

It is not known who was driving the vehicle, Meyer said.
