Woman, 54, dies after being struck, run over on Broadway in north Wichita, police say
Wichita police are investigating an accident that killed a 54-year-old pedestrian Sunday night near downtown Wichita.
A woman was crossing Broadway from west to east around 10 p.m. Sunday when she was struck by a 1984 maroon Pontiac and then run over by a white 2010 Nissan Altima, police spokesman Juan Rebolledo said.
The woman was pronounced dead in the 1200 block of N. Broadway, Rebolledo said.
A 30-year-old woman was driving the Pontiac, and a 49-year-old man was driving the Nissan, Rebolledo said.
The investigation is ongoing.
